A WORD FROM THE  MANAGMENT !

Alan Avery & Ian Draper !

Updated 18 March 2008

At the time of writing this it is now 9 games into our tenure at Netherfield Albion FC with a record of won 2 drew 3 and lost 4 and having played the likes of Bulwell Trident and Beacon , we said we would come in and look to steady the ship as it was sinking fast without a clear view of how to survive , we have advertised for a new manager for next term and ideally are looking from within the club for that appointment ( 25 signed on ) to build on the foundations that are starting to be put into place within the first team , the dressing room is getting better and better each week and performances are increasing as time goes on and long may it continue as results around us are going against us and the last thing we want on our plates is to stive off relegation , however we have as much faith in your ability to guide this vessel to safety as we have some very testing games to come with Top team Bulwell, Ashland and United to face as well as two encounters with Vernon Villa we do however have battles with Whitemoor , Premium and Boots who are all below us in the table .

We Are Getting There. (25-01-08)

It is now 4 weeks that we have been here at Netherfield ...

Within this time there have been some significant changes no more so than player personnel, In Reality the players that have gone have done so on their own accord and what has been nice is at the time of writing this neither Ian or Myself have not had to make the decisions for them  , we have jointly over 30 years of Amateur football under our belts so when we say people can easily be replaced we don't make that statement lightly as there are still players that have expressed an interest in joining us and what is heartening is there have been NO players that we have approached in joining the Club it is players that have approached us in signing , there have been 8 new faces join the Albion and we believe they are worthy additions and play the way we believe will gain us more points as we start to climb further up the table and avoiding the dog fight that will be relegation come the end of the season , Training has been a new regime under the new changes and you have all responded extremely well to it as well as discipline which is at a high and long may it continue , there is certainly a new buzz inside the club and we have seen this at the training sessions over the last few week's ,

February is a big month and will only be determined how successful we are in our points tally come March , we have Whitemoor, Trident, Nottinghamshire and Beacon so no easy game's but maximum return from your efforts is a must .

All that's left for us to say is Keeping working hard , Keep putting the effort in but most importantly Keep Enjoying it , Because We are . !!!

Thanks also to all the other Clubs and players that have wished us luck in our roles .

Alan and Ian

A Week at the Helm

It has now given both Myself and Ian time to reflect on the week passed by at Netherfield Albion , we excepted the Role as Joint Managers with Support from Shaun only with the autonomy to make the changes and regime that we instill for the success of this well earned and respected Club , there has as you all are acutely aware been some radical changes that have happened already but we both firmly believe that this will only act as a catalyst to drive you on as individuals and will also act as the future foundations of this Club , I must say that I have been buoyed on by the way the Squad have all responded over the last 7 days and can only extend my regret to the periphery of Squad that have yet to prove their worth within this establishment , I did say last week that regardless of the score after 90 minutes it is how you responded to the changes both on and off the field that mattered most of all and you did this with both respect and integrity , Changes are always a contributing factor in the success of any organization be it work or Sport and I can assure we are not afraid  to make them as we see fit and to the benefit of OUR Club , I am not going to dwell on last week's performance as for Both Ian and Myself we failed at the first attempt to gain 3 vital and needy points !! , With that in mind we start this Saturday against mid table opposition in Middleton Villa and we will field a squad that will be more than capable of securing 3 points this time around , The Squad will now always be named on a Friday evening and you know what you have to do to be part of both the squad and this transformation , Training will allow both Periphery players and New Signing's to gel and prove their worth but as I have already stated we will not sign anyone on unless we believe it will strengthen us in areas that we are lacking or can add dimension to the Squad , one final thing from Me YOU are all now NETHERFIELD ALBION players so earn the right to be !!!

Alan Avery !!!
